Growing up in Seattle, Jamie Koppang jumped into the music world early on, playing piano at the age of nine and composing songs at eleven. By the time he reached college, Jamie had learned the guitar well and was taking on leadership roles in church and school music arenas. Jamie’s talent has takes him to many national showcases where he shares the stage with numerous Christian artists, among whom are Jeremy Camp, Newsboys and Point of Grace. Kappong was the keyboardist and a vocalist for the group Farewell June for two years, and now continues to write and share his music in church and other venues. His songs have that heart-touching quality that helps them to crossover seamlessly into the Pop genre, and that’s why he has taken the opportunity to audition for our show.
